Using online help

The “Request to Record Subordinates Competencies” page appears.

The system displays the following details about the employee selected in the previous page

Date Format

The date format that is applicable to the login user.

Employee

The name and unique code of the employee. The system displays the employee code selected in the “Select Employee to Record Competency” page.

Maximum Level

The maximum competency level set in the process parameters for competencies.

Employee Type

The employee type to which he belongs.  For example, employee type can be “Contract” /”Consultant”/”Regular”/Temporary etc;

Request Status

The request status is displayed as any one of the following:

  • “Authorized”. It indicates that the request is authorized

  • “Pending authorization”. It indicates that the request is pending for authorization.

  •  “Rejected”. It Indicates that the request is rejected

Pending With

The code and name of the employee with whom the change request of the employee is pending.

Effective From

The date from which the corresponding version of the record was in effect.

Authorizer Remarks

The remarks made by the authorizer

The “Competency Details ” multiline displays the competencies already mapped to the subordinate, if any

Competency Code

The code of the competency.

Competency Description                     

The description of the competency.

Minimum Desired Level

A number to indicate the minimum desired level of this competency. Tell me more

Possessed Level

The level to which the employee is proficient in the competency. Possessed level reflects actual competency level of the employee as per HR records.

Valid From

The date from which the competency information will be in effect.

Valid Till

The date till which the competency information will be in effect.

Record Status

The status of the competency assigned to the employee. The status can be one of the following:

  • “Request for addition”. It indicates that a new record is entered

  • “Request for modification”. It indicates  that the record is edited

  •  “Request for deletion”. It indicates that the record is processed for deletion.

  •  “Current”. It indicates that the  record is authorized 

Modification Option

From the drop-down list box, select any one of the following modification option.

  • “Correct” is to edit the record without changing the effective dates.

  • Update” is to edit the record and change the effective dates.

New Effective From

Enter the new date from which the changes should come into effect.

Note: If the modification option selected is “Update”, you must specify a new effective date from which a new version will be created in which the changes made will be updated

To view the status of authorization

After you save the request and revisit this page later, the system will display the following fields below the multiline.

Request Status

The status of the request will be one of the following:

  •  “Authorized”. It indicates that the request is authorized

  •  “Pending authorization”. It indicates that the request is pending for authorization.

  •   “Rejected”. It Indicates that the request is rejected

Authorizer Remarks

The remarks of the authorizer
