Selecting subordinates to assess competencies
Select “Assess Competency of Subordinates” from left pane
The “Select Subordinates to Assess Competency” page appears.
The system displays the following detail at the top of the page.
Date Format |
The date format that is applicable to the login user. |
Supervisor |
The code and name of the supervisor to whom the employee reports. |
Use the “Search Criteria” fields to specify search parameters and select the required employee record.
To select through Search Criteria
Use this method, if you know just a few characters of the employee code. In the search criteria group box, specify the search criteria based on which the system will fetch the records.
To specify the search criteria, you must enter one or more characters that the employee code contains. Search based on wild card characters is also supported. To narrow your search to the closest matching records, you can also enter search criteria for other details viz., the name of the employee, the employee type to indicate if the he/she is a regular or contract employee etc., and the dates to indicate the probable period in which the employee joined.
Enter the following search criteria values, in some or all of the following fields.
Employee Code |
To view all the employee codes containing specific characters, type in the character(s) of these employee codes in any combination with wild cards. Example. ECC1*, will search for those employee codes that start with ECC1. Other examples are *ECC1 and EC*C1. |
Employee Name |
To view all the employee names containing specific characters type in the character(s) of these employee names in any combination with wild cards. Example. To get Jonathan, type in JO*, to search for those employee names that start with JO. Other examples are *NATHAN, JO*AN, and JONATH*. |
Position Title |
To view all position titles containing specific characters, type in the character (s) of these position titles in any combination with wild cards. |
Department Description |
To view all department descriptions containing specific characters, type in the character(s) of these department descriptions in any combination with wild cards. Example. To get Marketing type in MA*, to search for those department description that start with Ma. |
Job Title |
To view all job titles containing specific characters, type in the character(s) of these job titles in any combination with wild cards. Example. To get Manager type in MA*, to search for those job titles that start with Ma. |
Employee Type |
The type of the employee’s job. The employee type indicates if the selected employee is a regular employee or has been hired on contract for a limited period or is a consultant etc. |
Select the “Search” pushbutton.
Note: If only one search criteria value is entered, the system will fetch the records that satisfy this value.
If more than one search criteria value is entered, the system will fetch the records satisfying all the specified values.
If you do not enter any value in the search criteria group box and select the “Search” pushbutton, the system will fetch all the employees working under the selected supervisor.
The system displays the following details in the multiline, for the employee records that satisfy the search criteria specified.
Employment Unit |
The description of the interacting employment unit. |
Employee Code |
The unique code of the employee. |
Employee Name |
The name of the employee. |
Department |
The description of the department to which the employee belongs. |
Job |
The description of the job of the employee. |
Position Title |
The title of the position of the employee. |
Employee Type |
Indicates if the employee is a regular or contract employee etc. |
Select the hyperlinked name of the required employee in the multiline.
The system displays the “Assess Competencies of Subordinates” page, which you can use to specify the assessment level value.
