Viewing the contact information
Select the “View Contact Information” activity under the “Employee Self Service” business component.
The “View Contact Information” page appears.
The system displays the following details:
Employee Code Setup Unit |
The organization unit in which employee code parameters are defined for the login organization unit. |
Date Format |
The date format that is applicable to the login user. |
Employee Code |
The name and unique code of the employee. |
Employee Type |
The type of the employee’s job. The employee type indicates if the employee is a regular employee or has been hired on contract for a limited period or is a consultant etc. |
Viewing contact information
You can view the contact information details pertaining to the contact type you indicate. To view the details,
Select the required contact type such as, Holiday, Permanent etc., from the “Contact Type” drop-down list box.
The system displays the contact information details pertaining to the selected contact type.
You can view the values specified for the following contact information details.
Inactive |
Indicates whether the status is inactive or not. |
Primary Address |
Indicates whether the contact details displayed pertain to the primary address of the employee or otherwise. “Yes” indicates primary, “No” indicates otherwise. |
Viewing Effective Dates
You can use the “History” group box to view the effective dates of the previous versions of the family member information record.
Effective From |
The date from which the corresponding version of the contact information record is effective. |
Effective To |
The date till which the corresponding version of the contact information record is effective. |
Select the “Previous” pushbutton to view the effective dates of the previous version of the record.
Select the “Next” pushbutton to view the effective dates of the next version of the record.
Click on the “View Changes” link to view the list of changes to the data record. The Pop-Up page displays the data fields for which the values have been changed – Old Values and New Values are displayed for the changed data fields along with the “Effective From” date.
Viewing information on family members
You can view the following contact details of the employee in the “Address” multiline.
Country |
The country pertaining to the specified contact address. |
State |
The State pertaining to the specified contact address. |
Local Type 1 |
The value of the local type 1. |
Local Type 2 (City/Town) |
The City/Town pertaining to the specified contact address. |
Local Type 3 |
The value of the local type 3 |
Address Line 1 |
Address line 1 pertaining to the specified contact type. |
Address Line 2 |
Address line 2 pertaining to the specified contact type. |
Address Line 3 |
Address line 3 pertaining to the specified contact type |
Postal Code |
The zip / postal code of the city specified. |
Phone |
The phone number at which the employee can be contacted at the specified contact address. |
Mobile |
The mobile number at which the employee can be contacted at the specified contact address. |
Fax |
The fax number at which the employee can be contacted at the specified contact address. |

The email address of the employee. |
Secondary Email Id |
The secondary email address of the employee |
Building |
The name of the building at which the employee can be reached at the specified contact address. |
Workstation No. |
The number of the workstation at which the employee can be reached at the specified contact address. |
Comments |
The remarks entered about the contact information. |
Document Attachment |
The name of the document attached |
